Charge Orbtronic 16650 battery Before First Use.

Advanced Safety Protection will be activated if at least one of the following occurs:
Overcharge, Overdischarge, Overcurrent [Overload]-Overheating,

and

Short circuit (most important safety feature)

 
Important:
  • Do not try to fully discharge li-ion battery ( below 2.5V under load ) or Protection will be activated.
  • Charge 16650 battery to 4.2V before first use (slightly below 4.2V is perfectly fine).
  • Never use force to install (insert) li-ion battery.
  • Use only high quality battery charger.
  • Do not expose to heat. Li-ion (any Li-ion battery is sensitive to Hot & Humid environment.
  • Do not short (connect) positive (top), and negative (bottom) battery terminals (contacts). Protection will be activated, but this is important warning when you work with any Li-ion battery.
  • Keep battery that is not in use in plastic holder (or any insulating [plastic] container).
  • Do not charge unattended. Safety is always No.1 and having high quality Li-ion charger is very important.
  • Long Term Storage: Do not store your li-ion batteries fully charged (for extended period of time  - 1 month and longer).
  • Long Term Storage: Store in cold and dry place at approximately 3.6V - 3.8V (storage charge).
  • Do not use unprotected (bare) batteries connected in series. This is Protected battery so you can use them in multicell applications.
  • After battery is discharged - don't leave it discharged => charge it as soon as possible.
