About new Panasonic NNP technology:
For use in portable equipment of all kinds, the Panasonic Industrial Batteries Division is now launching
two particularly powerful 3.6 V lithium-ion batteries in accordance with the 18650 standard.
Thanks to innovative NNP technology, the NCR18650 and NCR18650A types achieve capacities of 2.9 Ah (and 3.1 Ah -also available here at Orbtronic web store) respectively. At the same time, special HRL technology guarantees maximum safety.
About new HRL technology:
In spite of the increased power, which normally gives rise to an increased safety risk,
Panasonic batteries remain particularly safe thanks to the patented Heat Resistant Layer (HRL) technology.
This solution consists of an insulated metal oxide film between the electrodes,
which prevents overheating even in the case of an internal short-circuit.
Best Li-ion charger that will charge these very powerful 18650 batteries at 1A per each channel is also available, and you can buy it here or here
